A-18159 WPC 10 Opto Switch

A faithful, electrically and visually accurate reproduction of the original A-18159 WPC 10-Opto board, designed to have brackets riveted to it so it mounts perpendicular to the playfield. It can also be used in machines that take the parallel-mounted A-15430. Built using modern, high‑quality components and matched routing.

Why choose this board?
Although generally reliable, this board is known for cosmetic heat damage around the 10 high-power resistors. Mounting the resistors away from the board surface and allowing heat to dissipate through additional PCB vent holes reduces heat build-up in this area.

This board is also known for damage from a leaking electrolytic capacitor, and for faulty LM339 comparators – resulting in intermittent switch errors.

Even when repaired, you’re still relying on components that have already lived a long service life, and a discoloured PCB.

This board is a clean, drop‑in replacement that behaves exactly like the original — same timing, same routing philosophy, same component choices — but built with fresh silicon and clean copper.
