1. Who we are
This website is run by MC Circuit Works, a trading name of Simon Morrell, sole trader, 143 Sylvan Avenue, Timperley, Altrincham, WA15 6AE, United Kingdom. Email: sales@mccircuitworks.com. Phone: +44 7850 066216.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean MC Circuit Works, and "you" means the person buying from us.
2. These terms
These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Read them before ordering, together with our Refund policy, Shipping policy, Warranty and Privacy policy. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
3. Our products
Our replica boards are new reproductions of original Bally/Williams and other pinball boards, made by us. They are not original parts and are not made, endorsed or approved by the original manufacturers. Original part numbers and game names are used only to show which machines a board fits.
Product photos are for illustration. Minor differences in component make or colour may occur where we use a modern equivalent part of equal or better specification.
Some products, such as Afterglow, are built by us from open-source designs published by others. The relevant credits and licences are shown on the product page.
4. Ordering and the contract
When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging it. This doesn't mean your order has been accepted. Our contract with you is formed when we email to confirm dispatch, or when we otherwise confirm acceptance.
We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we can't deliver to your address. If we do, we'll tell you and refund any payment in full.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Delivery charges are shown at checkout and in our Shipping policy. Payment is taken when you place your order.
For orders outside the UK, import duties and taxes may apply as explained in our Shipping policy.
6. Delivery
Dispatch times, delivery options and costs are set out in our Shipping policy. Delivery times are estimates. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.
7. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, as explained in our Refund policy. Boards made to your own specification can't be cancelled once work has started.
8. Faulty goods and warranty
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are faulty or not as described. These are summarised in our Refund policy. In addition, our boards carry a voluntary 12-month Warranty, which doesn't affect your legal rights.
Email support@mccircuitworks.com before sending anything back.
9. Installation and safe use
Pinball machines contain mains voltages and high-voltage, high-current circuits. Our boards should be installed by someone competent to work on them, with the machine switched off and unplugged. Follow the original service manual and any instructions we provide.
We aren't responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, reversed or miswired connectors, or faults elsewhere in your machine (see our Warranty).
10. Our liability to you
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We aren't responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
If you are buying as a business, our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for that order. We aren't liable to business customers for loss of profit, business or revenue.
11. Events outside our control
We aren't responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal disruption or component shortages. If this happens, we'll let you know and do what we can to minimise the delay. If the delay is significant, you can cancel and receive a full refund for anything not yet delivered.
12. Using this website, our documents and our software
The content of this website belongs to MC Circuit Works unless stated otherwise. This includes its text and photos, our user manuals, quick start guides, technical notes and other documents, and the firmware and configuration tools for our products. In this section, "you" means anyone who uses this website or our products, not only customers.
Documents. You may download, print and keep copies of our documents for your own use, for example to install, use or repair our products. You may not republish them, sell them, or share them on other websites, forums or file-sharing services, in whole or in part, without our written permission. You may link to the page they are on.
Firmware and configuration tools. Our firmware and configuration tools are licensed to you, not sold. You may use them only with genuine MC Circuit Works boards, and keep copies for that purpose. You may not:
- share, sell or publish them, or offer them for download anywhere else;
- modify them, or build them into other software or products;
- use them with any other hardware, including copies of our boards.
Nothing in this section takes away any right you have by law, such as making a backup copy.
Open-source designs. Some products, such as Afterglow, are built from open-source designs published by others. Those designs and their files remain under their own licences, shown on the product page, and this section doesn't apply to them.
Friendly-name example files. The example friendly-names files on our Files page are public domain. Anyone may use, change and share them freely, and this section doesn't apply to them.
Any other use of our material needs our written permission. Contact us at sales@mccircuitworks.com.
13. Your personal information
We use your personal information only as described in our Privacy policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one shown on this website when you placed it.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. If you live outside the UK, you also keep any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
If you have a problem, contact us first at support@mccircuitworks.com. We'll do our best to put it right.
