Although generally reliable, this board is known for cosmetic heat damage around the 10 high-power resistors. Mounting the resistors away from the board surface and allowing heat to dissipate through additional PCB vent holes reduces heat build-up in this area.

This board is also known for damage from a leaking electrolytic capacitor, and for faulty LM339 comparators – resulting in intermittent switch errors.
